Guilloché (or guilloche) is a decorative technique in which a very precise,
intricate and repetitive pattern is engraved into an underlying material, in
this case metal after which the enamel was applied. The guilloche technique by
hand, was very time-consuming! It achieved and allowed great delicacy,
precision, and closeness of line and was sometimes used in art deco items!!
