Stunningly gorgeous Antoine Bofill gilt bronze vase:'Leda and the swan'. A legend from the Greek mythology: The supreme god Zeus is in love with the beautiful Leda. He disguises himself as a swan and seduces her.
Magnificent art nouveau vase, decorated all around: Leda and the swan, next to a waterfall and lush greenery.
Signed Bofill and on the bottom: number 407 and foundry mark E.V. H 21

Antoine Bofill (1875-1925) Spanish sculptor, working in Paris. Born at
Barcelona, Bofill studied at the Académie des beaux-arts' in Paris.
At expositions in Spain, Germany, Austria and in France; In the Paris Salons, as early as 1894.
